Crucial step that so many people miss
Well... Ur awesome! Thanks🤗
Thank you..
I understand rinsing off the salt at the end. But wouldnt you technically be adding moisture back into the zucchini by rinsing it tho?
That's what I say I over salted my noodles ugghhh, trashed lol.
You did great job except using aluminum foil , it's bad for your health especially with the tomato juice and salt , you can use parchment paper instead
This works great! Thank you! My zucchini recipes are so much better. AND now I wonder: There's this salty zucchini water that we're throwing out. Would that be good to use in anything else?
Wow thanks Lydia I can't belive I never thought of this and how easy it was! Greetings from England
Wow...! U have a Tomato stealing oven...! 24 slices of tomatoes went inside oven... But only 18 came out..! 5:22
Both looks fantastic.
$100 divided by $3.99 would be around 25 lbs, not 5 lbs
sodo you have to/ how do you sharpen the blade?
Inflation got me like dannnnnnnnnnng 3.99 is a steal for that jar....
8 - 10 HOURS!?
it says "slow-roasted" in the title . . . what did you think ? lol
Good grief - where to begin? Don't EVER place any food/plant with any level of acid (tomato) on aluminium and subject it to heat! DO remove the seeds FIRST! Oven-dry to tomatoes UNSEASONED! Leave the garlic and herbs [psst - add oregano and a bay leaf], salt and pepper for the jarring stage. You're welcome.
Dried tomatoes lose about 80-90 %of their weight in the drying process. So out of a kilo of tomatoes you can get about 100-150 gram of dried tomatoes. Plus olive oil and spices, so $4 a jar sounds about right.
Yes, mass-processed stuff is actually quite cheap, all things considered. And can you imagine running the oven for 8 hours? Not going to happen in this economy :-)
Thank you!!! To the point and useful :)
helpful, thank you.
The final product looks burnt!!!
200 Degrees of celeciuls or Fahrenheit?
fahrenheit.
Il ne faut pas utiliser les feuilles d'alluminium
thank you. All the other videos show you how to get salt out of grated zucchini, but I want to make chips
Thanks for sharing ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Haha! Grandma was a casual cannibal! Thanks for the helpful tips. 💕
Nut milk straining bags would work great for this.
Wouldn’t a salad spinner work also
I hadn't thought of that. I'm gonna try it.
I feel like that would be a better option when you want zucchini medallions, as opposed to shredded zucchini.
Keep in oven at 220degree for 8'hours?
Thanks 😊
The supermarket don't really sun dry them, they don't have time so they do same thing as well, feed them in a giant oven for about 8-12 hours. Then fool into believing they've sun dried them.
oven roasted and sundried tomatoes are not the same. The prep and process for each one is entirely different. Sun dried tomatoes are actually left off in the sun to dry out for a least 6 days preferably under a weight wire mess cover. Oven roasted can take up to 6 hours in the oven depending on the type of tomatoes and oven temp. Each one has a different flavor and texture.
Thankyou so,so much for this magical recipe of oven dried tomatoes. I love tomatoes.
wish i seen this before i butchered mine smh. Thanks for the cooking tip!
Awesome! Cannot wait to do this when my tomatoes ripen.
I mean the reason you buy them is because they're sun dried....If you have to leave your oven on for bloody 8 hours i think the electricity cost would dwarf the cost of a single jar hahah
8 hours but only at 200 degrees. Electricity is cheap lol.
@@tylerferguson3707 don't know where you live mate, but here in London 8 hrs of electricity ain't as cheap as a jar of tomatos..
@@7bloodi socialism is great isn't it lol
Today I bought sundried tomatoes in a jar. I think it was $5.49 Thanks, I will try this. I bet the house smells amazing.
That is how I used to fill my bottles, but I had to waste a bag which was part of the reason I bought bottles or I had to wash bag and bottles. Now I bought small silicone bowls which you can squeeze to make a spout and pour right into the bottle. Love them.

Your minor should be "sentence structure". Give that one a whirl, sis.
how do you dry them after rinsing them off? Do you have to lay them out on the counter and pat them dry with a paper towel?
yes
Thank you for your video.
How many degrees to back? tks
Does anybody have advice on how to store these tomatoes and how long one could expect them to keep?
Put only the tomatoes no herbs no olive oil and once they are ready put them in a jar with the herbs and cover with olive oil it's the Italian way i think
I freeze mine easy to add to pasta dish.
Thank you. I was worried what to do with the tomatoes that I have grown in my garden. I love them raw but there is only so many we can eat.
I'm watching you from Poland. We have gas in the kitchen :)
Thanks
5lbs of roasted/dried tomatoes are not equal to 5lbs of fresh tomatoes. So 3.99$ worth of jar with dried tomatoes can be filled with your 5lbs of baked tomatoes for 5$ with ease
Yeh, the maths are definitely off. Assuming both jars are the same size.
Wooooow wooooow Bravo
I did this earlier and graded my knuckle lol ouch
Can these be stored in a jar full of oil?
You don't Dr seed it?
but what temperature oven???????????
I'm not a foodie, so please forgive my ignorance, but wouldn't rinsing them afteward just re-hydrate them? By the way, love that you are doing this in a colander.
I think she said sge was going to dry them after so you rise off the salt then you can press them with paper towel or something after to reduce the saltyness... thats just a guess. I would defs prep zucchini a while before cooking it after my trials today
I used to wonder that too but you would have to soak the zucchini for a long time in water for them to rehydrate to where they were before, so a quick rinse wont do any harm as long as you give them a pat down afterwards with a paper towel. 😊👍
